Loom Decor Bedroom Makeover

I've been in my "new" apartment for almost a year now, and I'm beginning to think that its time to spruce up my bedroom a bit. I want high quality bedding that I can easily customize... Loom Decor to the rescue! A few years ago, I was a member of the Loom Decor team when the company was in its early start-up stages and I've been eagerly following their progress ever since. With a variety of product styles and designer quality fabrics to choose from, the possibilities are practically endless. One of the most unique parts of Loom Decor's website is their product visualizer. Make your selections and get instant photos of what your finished product will look like. Still not sure you're ready to make the jump? Loom also offers free design assistance and free fabric samples to help you through the design process.

For my new bedding I wanted to focus on graphic patterns with a color scheme of turquoise, lime green, and white. Loom's constantly growing selection of fabrics offered me everything I needed to complete my new look. Now it's your turn to design your own custom bedding!

Interiors with Gold

This may shock some of you, but gold is back -- especially in interiors. Every furniture store and design magazine is featuring contemporary pieces and spaces that have a touch of the shiny metallic finish. It's easiest to incorporate gold in small doses such as light fixtures, end tables, and furniture accents (for example, chair legs and dresser knobs). Stick with pieces that have clean lines and simple shapes to keep this look fresh and updated.

{Midcentury Dressing Room} "I had a little fun with that midcentury modern chair," designer Windsor Smith says of her Los Angeles home's dressing room. "I loved the frame and had it replated in matte gold, and reupholstered the seat in silvery leather." The armchair is vintage by Milo Baughman from the Windsor Smith Home Collection.

Grown-up Bean Bag Chairs

Remember those circular bean bag chairs that you had as a kid? They were fun and comfortable, but not so great looking. Recently I've come across some bean bag chairs that are much more stylish and work perfectly in a "grown-up" home. When entertaining, most of us could use some extra seating (especially apartment dwellers like myself), and these options will do the trick.
